OrbitRPSerious UK FiveM Roleplay

Rulebook · Updated 14th February 2026

Rules

73 rules across 11 sections. Not knowing a rule is not a defence — but if something here is unclear, ask a staff member before you act on it.

1.General Rules

1.1

Age Requirement

Players must be 18+ to participate in Orbit RP.
1.2

Staying In Character (IC)

Keep in-game matters IC and real-life matters OOC.
Avoid bringing IC issues into OOC spaces or OOC grudges into IC interactions.
Remember: You are not your character, and your character is not you.
1.3

Random Deathmatch (RDM)

Attacking players without proper roleplay context is prohibited.
Example: “Hands up or I’ll stab ya” with no prior RP build-up is not allowed.
1.4

Random Vehicle Deathmatch (RVDM)

Using vehicles as weapons (running players over, causing explosions, ramming) without valid RP reason is forbidden.
1.5

Powergaming

Do not create unfair situations where others can’t respond. Examples:
  • Unrealistic “superpowers” or abilities
  • Exaggerating injuries to avoid RP
  • Blocking entrances with vehicles
  • Using server rules knowledge IC
  • Combat Logging (F8 Quitting during a scene)
  • Storing or pulling a vehicle out during a chase / pursuit.
1.6

Tickets & Reports

Discuss ongoing reports or rule violations only with staff, never publicly, e.g. on streams. You can only ever report using your own footage and clips, not someone else’s vods / streams.
1.7

Clipping Software

Recording incidents is encouraged to aid staff review and reimbursements.
If you lack footage, still submit a ticket, but resolution is not guaranteed.
1.8

Streamer-Friendly Environment

Orbit RP supports streamers. Please familiarise yourself with Twitch and TikTok Terms of Service.
1.9

Racism / Transphobia / Homophobia

Perm ban
Any use of racist, transphobic, or homophobic slurs within Orbit is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate and permanent ban without exception. This applies whether such behavior is discovered through staff review of footage, reports, or direct observation in the city. Orbit maintains a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all players.
1.10

Exploiting or Abusing Bugs

Perm ban
If you discover any bugs or issues within the city that are being exploited to disrupt the economy, this may lead to a permanent ban. Please report any findings promptly by submitting a ticket and providing footage of the incident if possible.
1.11

Cheating

Perm ban
If you are found to be cheating in Orbit, this will result in an instant permanent ban. You may result in a PC check to confirm you are not cheating.
1.12

Realistic Reshaders / Visual Mods

Any mods or reshades added to your FiveM game, including shooting markers like confetti gunballs etc, markers, custom skies, or other unrealistic effects, must be removed before playing on Orbit. We do not allow such modifications as they disrupt immersion. If you are found using these, staff will issue a warning to remove them. Continued use after a warning may result in a permanent ban.

2.Roleplay Rules

2.1

Microphones

A working microphone with Push-to-Talk is required. (No pringle cans).
2.2

Language

Due to Orbit being an English server, we ask this is the only language spoken within the City.
2.3

Roleplay Everything

Stay in character at all times. Report poor RP through tickets, don’t break character.
2.4

Value Your Life

Act as if your life matters. If outnumbered or at a disadvantage, comply reasonably.
2.5

Communication Restrictions

If your in-game phone/radio is confiscated, you may not use external methods to communicate.
2.6

Item/Money Transfers

Perm ban
Transferring items or money between your own characters is prohibited.

This also includes transferring in city items or cars for external currency.
2.7

Strictly Prohibited Roleplay

Perm ban
Forbidden roleplay includes:
  • Any sexual assault RP (explicit or implied)
  • Cannibalism RP
  • Terrorism or terrorist RP
  • Spitting (No spitting noises or spitting on someone RP)
  • Erotic RP
  • Suicide RP
2.8

Poor Quality Roleplay

Low-effort RP is unacceptable. Examples:
  • Forcing players to say scripted phrases.
  • Little to no conversation when taking someone hostage / initiating conflict.
Be creative and drive the story forward. Repeated poor RP may lead to bans and staff support interventions.
2.9

Voice Identification

If a masked player responds to their real name or does not attempt to disguise their voice, they may be voice identified. In some cases, if the criminal is fully masked and covered (including tattoos and hair), they may conceal their identity, unless they speak in a way that reveals familiarity with someone. Police bodycams may be used to enforce this rule.
2.10

Tebex Purchases

Tebex purchases are non-refundable (as explained within the Tebex terms of service Tebex Checkout) and cannot be transferred between players, unless authorised by a member of staff.

3.Police & Emergency Services Rules

3.1

Police Equipment or EMS Equipment Sales

Police may not sell or give away equipment unless there is a RP reason approved by staff by a ticket.
3.2

Abuse of Police Position

Misusing police roles to benefit friends or associates (e.g., removing charges without RP reason) is strictly prohibited.
3.3

Abuse of EMS Position

Using Emergency Services powers to assist friends or associates off duty (e.g., attending a scene to heal a friend in a gang who’s been attacked outside of roleplay) is strictly prohibited.
3.4

Police Station Attacks & NLR

When police stations are attacked, the 15-minute NLR applies to officers.
Police stations are staffed 24/7 and monitored by CCTV, attacking them carries high risk and severe consequences.
3.5

Police / EMS Corruption

Corruption RP is not permitted.
This rule is enforced case-by-case and cannot be used to report players. Any corrupt storylines will need to be approved by Orbit Staff.
3.6

Police / EMS Equipment Stealing

From police officers, you may only take personal items, armor, trackers, communications equipment, and body cameras.

Warrant cards may be taken as a trophy; however, using them to impersonate a police officer is strictly prohibited.

From other Emergency Services personnel, you may only take personal items, such as phones and radios.
3.7

Impersonating a Police Officer or EMS worker

You may not impersonate a police officer or EMS worker without prior approval from a staff member via a ticket. We understand some roleplay scenarios might involve wearing a uniform, so please notify staff in advance before doing so.
3.8

High Ranking / CID officers wanting a second character in a gang

If one of your characters is a member of CID or a high-ranking officer (Silver+), you may not have a second character who is part of a gang.

If your character is part of High Command and you need clarification on whether you are permitted to join a gang, please submit a ticket.

4.Character Rules

4.1

Character Names

Use realistic first and last names.
No well-known fictional characters, celebrities, political figures, criminals, or terrorists.
4.2

Believable Characteristics

Your character’s actions should fit their backstory.
Use multiple character slots for different RP styles; more slots available on Tebex.
4.3

Character Death (CK)

Permanent death is allowed only with agreement from involved parties and staff approval if needed.
4.4

Character Progression

Characters should grow naturally, starting with limited resources and knowledge, not as instant crime lords or millionaires.

5.Metagaming Rules

5.1

Out-of-Character Information

Perm ban
Using OOC knowledge to influence IC roleplay is metagaming. Examples:
  • Watching streams to gain info
  • Using Discord or social media info
5.2

Session IDs / Collar Numbers

Identifying players by session ID alone is not allowed.
Police / NHS ranks and collar numbers are acceptable only if visible in RP and not undercover.
5.3

OOC Posts on In-City Social Media

The Birdy app is IC-only. No OOC posts or NLR breaches allowed.
5.4

Character Separation

Characters must remain independent.
Relationships like siblings or cousins require roleplay justification.
Example: No sharing raid info between police and criminal characters.
No sharing vehicles, items, or money between characters.

6.Hostage & Conflict Rules

6.1

Hostages

Hostage-taking must be high-quality RP focused on immersive, enjoyable scenarios for all involved.
6.2

Fake Hostages

Fake hostages are allowed only if police have no reason to suspect deception.
If suspicion arises, police may breach.
Disguise fake hostages creatively, maybe get them dressed up in clothes they wouldn’t usually wear or cover their faces.
6.3

Executions

Executions must be realistic and roleplayed well.
Example: Cutting a throat requires a bladed weapon.
6.4

Police Sirens

Police sirens do not automatically start RP at the location.
Shooting / stabbing the officers without RP engagement in these cases is RDM.
6.5

Spike Strips

Deploying spike strips alone is not roleplay.
Failing to engage properly is RDM.
6.6

Conflicting Characters

You may have only one character per gang or legal storyline at a time.
If multiple characters are on opposing sides, choose one to advance the story.
6.7

Robbing & Killing

You must choose to either rob another player or “kill” them - not both. You ARE allowed to rob someone and place them into stage 1 (on their side). You are NOT allowed to rob someone and place them into stage 2 (on their back). Robbing someone on their side or on their back is NOT allowed.

The only circumstance in which robbing on side is permitted is to seize communications or digital devices that may contain location-tracking data (e.g. phones, radios, police comms)
6.8

Breaching Robberies

During a heist (e.g., shop robbery, Vangelico heist, etc.), police, civilian groups and gangs are not permitted to breach if a hostage is present. If no hostage is on scene, they may breach and take control of the situation.
6.9

Maximum Numbers Rule

For criminal activities, the maximum number of participants allowed is 5, this includes those on your radio. This is for both gangs and civilians.
6.9b

Trading Hostages for Freedom

Once a player has been taken through the PD gates, no additional individuals, including police officers, may be taken hostage in exchange for their release.
6.10

30-Minute Rule

After a storm, no major robberies, including shop robberies, Vangelico heists, bank robberies, or art gallery thefts, may be carried out until 30 minutes after the storm has ended. This cooldown period allows for natural roleplay transitions, giving players time to “wake up” and reestablish normal activity before major criminal events resume.
6.11

Weapons Rule

You can only use a weapon if your character actually has it on them at the time. You can’t just say you have something unless it’s legitimately in your inventory and you’re able to physically pull it out. If you’re going to use it, it needs to be a real, tangible item your character is actually carrying and can realistically draw and use.

7.New Life Rule & Downed/Revived Guide

7.1

When a New Life Starts

A new life begins only after you have been burned alive or drowned in the ocean, except as noted in section 7.2. Any death occurring after stage two, beyond these two situations, remains memorable.
7.2

When a New Life Does Not Start

No new life starts if a staff member informs you (via Discord) that your death was due to clear RDM only if a ticket is opened.
7.3

Rules When NLR Applies

  • Your character forgets the previous RP situation.
  • Feuds with killers end.
  • Relationships end if respawning is used as an exit.
  • Do not return to the death location for 30 minutes.
  • Do not re-enter the death-causing situation; if you do, excuse yourself immediately.
7.4

When You Are In Stage 1 or Stage 2

  • You are incapacitated and must roleplay injuries.
  • You are not dead until you respawn.
  • Do not reference the respawn timer IC, e.g. having a certain amount of “beats” left.
7.5

Stages of Death

  • Stage 1 – On Your Side: Conscious but injured, aware of surroundings, must roleplay accordingly.
  • Stage 2 – On Your Back: Unconscious and unaware.
If revived from Stage 2, you retain memory unless you were ocean dumped or burnt alive, in which case, you remember nothing of that interaction.
7.6

When You Have Been Revived

  • Continue roleplaying injuries with treatment considered.
  • Do not run off unless there is a strong RP reason.
  • Retain all pre-downed knowledge unless ocean dumped or burnt alive (see 7.5).
  • No combat for 45 minutes unless forced by an aggressor, still roleplay your injuries accordingly if this does happen.
  • Do not deliberately re-enter the combat situation that caused your downing unless forced.
7.8

Witch Doctor Usage

If an opposing gang takes you to the Witch Doctor, you must roleplay as the Witch Doctor prescribes, even if you cannot afford it, to maintain the continuity of the roleplay. The Witch Doctor has the ability to revive players during Stage Two, which means you retain full memory of all events leading up to Stage Two, and the standard New Life Rule (NLR) does not apply.

During a gang scrap, you may bring a maximum of two people to the Witch Doctor. You must carefully choose who to save; any players beyond the two must be left for dead or handled by emergency services. Players taken to the Witch Doctor cannot be further harmed or robbed once you commit to helping them, they must survive the remainder of the scenario.

8.Emergency Buildings (PD & EMS)

8.1

Loitering

Loitering around emergency buildings like police stations or hospitals without valid RP reason is not allowed.
8.2

Green Zone Rule

The Hospital is the only green zone in Orbit.

9.City Standards

9.1

Roleplay over Ruleplay

Roleplay prioritizes immersive, believable storytelling and character actions based on the situation, not just exploiting rules. Ruleplay focuses on using rules to gain unfair advantages, often harming the game’s realism and fun.

Choosing roleplay keeps the game fair, creative, and enjoyable for everyone by putting the story and characters first.

Please be aware if there are situations which arise with this, the situation will be reviewed by a staff member who makes the final decision on whether the situation does belong under the roleplay over ruleplay category. The other party is still entitled to be able to log a ticket regarding the situation for further support from our Orbit staff team. This is only acceptable in certain situations with explanation as to why.
9.2

No Toxicity

At Orbit, we’re proud to cultivate a welcoming, positive community where everyone can enjoy immersive and respectful gameplay. Toxic behavior disrupts this experience, damages player interactions, and undermines the friendly atmosphere we all value. For this reason, any form of toxicity, whether harassment, insults, or negativity is simply not tolerated. Respectful communication is the foundation that makes Orbit a better place for all.

We’re here to have fun, build stories, and enjoy a space to unwind. Remember, there’s a real person behind every screen, so kindness matters. If you ever feel overwhelmed or need support, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Staff team, we’re always here to help! 💞

10.Gang Life

10.1

Roleplay Quality

At Orbit, we encourage gangs to develop deep, immersive storylines and expect high-quality roleplay from them as role models within the criminal community. Our staff closely monitor each gang to ensure roleplay standards remain strong.

If there is any support or ideas you’d like to implement for your gang, please make sure you are communicating this with our staff, we are here to help your roleplay experience and make it as fun as possible for you and others around!

We believe a rich history is key, and always prioritize roleplay above all else.
10.2

Whitelist Gangs

Whitelisted gangs may have 10 members, but only 5 members involved in a single situation. There are limited whitelisted gang slots available, and these will be given by good roleplay.
10.3

Gang Strikes

Gang leaders are fully responsible for their members’ actions. Any issues will be addressed directly with the gang’s leader or deputy, who must ensure corrective action is taken.

We operate on a three-strike system:
  • Strikes are issued as formal warnings for rule breaches.
  • Each strike remains on record for one month before removal.
  • Persistent issues or major rule violations by any member - including repeated minor offences - may result in a strike for the entire gang.
Gangs that receive three strikes will be permanently disbanded. All members of the disbanded gang will be blacklisted from joining any whitelisted gangs for a minimum of two weeks, with the option to appeal this restriction.

Once disbanded, a gang cannot be recreated unless an appeal is approved, providing strong justification for why the gang should be reinstated, whether by the original members or a new team.
10.4

Gang Clothing

Gang members must wear a single piece of gang clothing for identification, if they are not they are strictly prohibited from engaging in any criminal activities.

Wearing another gang’s clothing or colors is only allowed when supported by meaningful roleplay. Impersonating or pretending to be part of another gang without valid roleplay will lead to strikes.
10.5

Gang/Group Names

Names must be realistic and appropriate within the Whitelist Gang application.
10.6

Non-Whitelisted Gangs

Non-whitelisted gangs are allowed, but they are limited to a maximum of 5 members per group. These groups must also follow the same gang rules that apply to whitelisted gangs.
10.7

Teaming

Under no circumstances are gangs allowed to team up with each other. While business deals between gangs are permitted, you should always stay alert, after all, all gangs are expected to be rivals.
10.8

Gang Wars / Fights

Reminder: All conflicts fall under rule 6.9, allowing only five members to participate UNLESS it’s a gang war. In gang vs. gang fights, all ten members are permitted.
10.9

Opening a Gang

If you are looking to start a gang or bring an existing gang into the city, the gang leader must submit a gang application. This application must be approved by staff before any members may represent colors or identify themselves as a gang.

11.Vehicle Rules

11.1

Realistic Driving

We ask for all driving to be appropriate to whichever vehicle you are using. For instance, if you’re driving a small Panto with regular tires on, you wouldn’t use this offroad in a police chase.
11.2

Police Chases

During police chases there are a few rules we ask from you to keep this a clean, and concise chase.
  • No water dumping vehicles
  • No flipping vehicles mid chase, if your car flips this is your car out of the chase.
  • No ramming out of boxes once boxed.
11.3

Excessive Pitting / Ramming

Similarly, under Rule 11.1, pitting or ramming vehicles at unrealistic speeds is not acceptable and is strictly prohibited on Orbit.
